Shoe haul

This is such a long overdue post but I am rather disappointed that Shoedazzle closed down in the UK. I was enjoying the whole concept of it. I was looking forward to all the new designs of shoes and bags that they were going to come out. I totally didn't expect them to close down. I have to say, I don't think they spent enough on the marketing side. I've noticed that not many people knew about shoedazzle when I posted my "what's in my purse video" where I featured the bag that I bought from them. I do hope they come back soon!

I bought these four shoes from their closing down sale (50-75% off) near the end of January. Everything was just flying off the shelves. A lot of the things were sold out so I was gutted about that as there were some that I really liked. But all in all, I really like the ones that I've bought. I really need to stop buying a lot of shoes. I'm already running out of space to store all my shoes in my room.

I think I'll be taking the platform peep toe heels (last picture) with me on my holiday to the Philippines. I haven't actually worn these out yet as the weather is still too cold to wear out.

That's basically it for now. I think I need to start packing for my holiday soon so that I won't forget anything. I might also film another "what's in my travel make up bag" video for long holidays abroad.

Back to blogger!

Hello there! Just a quick update to say that I've moved my blog from onsugar back to blogger as it is much more convenient to use. Hopefully this will motivate me to blog more as I really love the simple templates that they offer here and it's much more easier for me to customise. So that's basically it for now.

GlossyBox 2012 | January edition

Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner in Plum, Orly nail polish in Ruby, Weleda One step cleanser & toner, FAB gentle body wash and Murad Hybrids skin perfecting primer

A few days ago, I received my January edition GlossyBox. I've been looking forward to receiving this since I've seen some pictures floating around on the internet. Also, since it's a special edition box for Valentines day, it came in a hot pink box which is definitely worth keeping as it is too pretty even the pink stuffing.

I was definitely pleased with their December Christmas edition box and even more pleased with this month's box as I love the products that I got in my box. It's always a hit and miss with these type of subscription boxes but it definitely hit the spot this month. I love surprises that is why I am subscribed to these boxes. I must admit that I do sometimes take a peek at other bloggers' post or check GlossyBox's facebook account to see what they have in store for the latest box. Since I took a peek at what was in store for this month's box, I was hoping I would get the Murad primer because I've been meaning to buy (try) a new one and luckily, I did get it. I have not tried any of these products yet but I can't wait until I do. I will definitely do a review on the Murad primer once I've tried it. I was also pleased with the Orly nail polish in Ruby that I got in the box as it is a perfect base coat for the Deborah Lippman in Razzle Dazzle nail polish that I received from last month's box. It also came with a GlossyBox candy which surprisingly tastes nice.

Stylishly comfortable wedges

For the last year, I have been addicted to shoes - wedges in particular. I don't even know how many pairs of wedges I have bought last year. To me, shoes matter because they tell so much about a person hence why my collection is ever growing. Different shoes for different occassions. I love high heels as it looks good and quite frankly, I need a bit of height as I am quite short. However, I also like to be comfortable and wearing high heels everyday can be a bit daunting. Wedges are the best shoes that's ever been designed as it has heels and most importantly it is COMFORTABLE! I can walk in wedge heels all day without my feet hurting and it adds up cuteness to my outfit.

As I was browsing Sarenza's website, I found some great looking wedges but one particular wedge heel caught my attention - the Diva open toe wedges by No Name. It is the perfect wedge heel for every day wear in my opinion. The taupe colour is perfect for matching with different colours in an outfit as it is neutral. The lace-up design is very much on trend which reminds me so much of the JC Mary Rok wedges. The lace-up and sling back design together adds edginess to the wedges yet cute at the same time. This is definitely something that I would buy and bring with me to a holiday abroad for those days where you still want to look fashionable yet comfortable. I mean, who doesn't like to look good AND be comfortable at the same time?

Beauty UK Hollywood glam lips

For the least year or so, I've been buying a lot of lipsticks and my collection has grown so much without even realising. Every time I see lipsticks and I like it - I have to buy it. Just before Christmas, I saw this by the till and I had to get it. It was rather cheap at around £4.99 for 3 lipsticks. There were two editions but I opted for the hollywood glam lipsticks as they look a lot nicer. Though I really liked the orange lipstick in the other gift set so I might end up purchasing that one as well.

I'm not really sure if these lipsticks are part of their normal line of lip products as it doesn't have any names. For the price of 3 lipsticks - these are a lot cheaper than the individual lipsticks that they sell at £3.49.

I haven't really tried these yet but they seem sheer and more of a satin finish than matte which is good. The colours are very pigmented and bright. I would use a lip liner under it to tone it down and make it work for my skin colour as I am quite tan.
